The Institute of History of Notariat (IIHN) Established in 1975, aims to present the evolution of the international notariat from the historical and cultural perspective, organizing expositions and conferences, publishing studies and specialty catalogs. The national notarial structures from different countries, among which Romania, are represented in the Administration Board. The President of IIHN: Alain Moreau, notary in La Rochelle, France. Vice-president for Romania: Laura Mariana Lese, civil-law notary, Chamber of Civil-law notaries of Bucharest.
Activities:

• Every year two general meetings are organized.
• Attend national and international congresses.
• Permanently cooperates with UINL and UNESCO.
• Organizes exhibitions on notarial history.
• Awards the prizes Frochot, Favard de Langlade and Rewbell
• Organizes colloquiums "University - Notariat"
• Edits the bimestrial magazine "Le Gnomon", international magazine of the history of notariat.
